It seems that there’ll be no more mid-week sleeping in for Kim until next school vacation. After many calls to try and track down someone that knew something, anything, about the classes for foreign students to help improve their french even more, I finally got through to someone yesterday, which resulted in getting up and meeting a group of foreign students and the professor today. And it seems I got sucked into spending the day in the class tomorrow (which is the end of a two-week class that I never heard about, one half of which is dedicated to french language revision, and the other half to familiarizing newcomers with the town itself, which isn’t of much help to me). Therefore, tomorrow I’ll be up with the sunrise on what should have been a final day of laziness. Alas.
However, the real french help classes will begin in a couple weeks, and hopefully will work out for me. I figure I’ll go for a couple weeks to get a feel for the level of it all, and then make a judgement call. Apparently, said classes can also be used by foreigners instead of the second foreign language class, but I think I prefer to keep my french-class attendance optional and learn another foreign language, which will certainly have a better payout in the long run.
I just wish I would have known that last week was my last chance for lazy weekdays. I may have eaten cookies in bed all day long. Alas.
